The Climbing Crohn-Project
Targeted Microbubbles for Ultrasound Diagnosis of Crohn's Disease
Within the framework of the Climbing Crohn project, we aim to enhance the diagnosis and treatment monitoring of Crohn's disease, an inflammatory bowel disease. To achieve this, we utilize microbubbles as a contrast agent, which bind to inflamed areas of the intestines and can be detected using ultrasound. Our work in this project is divided into the following three sub-projects:
- WP1: Production of Microbubbles at the Highest Quality Level
- WP2: Safety, Toxicology, and Efficacy in Preclinical Models
- WP3: Phase I and II First-in-Human Clinical Studies
